Project: Multi-state Employee Handbook (Operating in 10 states)
Client Industry/Size: Transportation/150 employees
Summary: Created a main handbook document covering policies common to all employees in all states. Researched and developed addendums for each of their 10 state locations.
Benefits: Virtually all states have different employment regulations that address areas such as compensation, benefits, leaves, equal employment opportunity, etc.
Project: Employee Training - Respect in the Workplace: Combating Sexual Harassment
Client Industry/Size: All Industries/All sizes (multiple training)
Summary: Conducted training for multiple clients regarding harassment and discrimination at work.
Benefits: Training raised awareness and understanding for all employees in the workplace; and meets employer obligations under current NYS regulations for annual training. Ultimately, a harassment and discrimination free workplace benefits not only employees but employers to ensure that employees are comfortable, safe and can succeed based on their ability and the merit of their work.
Project: Sales Commission Plan
Client Industry/Size: Legal Services/25 employees
Summary: Developed terms and conditions for a clear sales commission plan
Benefits: Client needed a document that clearly spelled out the expectations for the sales representative including regular productivity targets, commissions amounts paid, terms of draw and reconciliation and other relevant terms. Plan provided both management and sales representative with clear communication, consistent application of terms and compliance with New York State regulations relative to commissioned sales representatives.
